NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL

(Pursuant to Section 506 and 1526 of the Real Property Tax Law)

Hearing of Complaints

Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Verona, County of Oneida has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and that a copy has been left with the Town Clerk, at 6600 Germany Road, Durhamville, NY, where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday in May.

The Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll on Wednesday, May 7th between the hours of 12:00 noon-4:00 pm; Thursday, May 8th between the hours of 9:00 am-1:00 pm; Wednesday, May 14th between the hours of 4:00 pm-8:00 pm; and Saturday, May 17th by appointment between the hours of 8:00 am-12:00 noon at the Verona Town Office, 6600 Germany Road, Durhamville, NY.  

The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 between the hours of 
9:00 am-12:00 noon and 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Town of Verona Historical Building, 
6600 Germany Road, Durhamville, NY, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on the written application of any person believing them self to be aggrieved.  
You may also mail your complaint for review, but the complaint must be RECEIVED by the B.A.R. no later than May 27, 2025. All Applications are available at:  https://www.tax.ny.gov/forms/orpts/assessment_grievance.htm or by contacting the assessor at assessor@townverona.org or 315-363-6799 ext. 6.  IF YOUR COMPLAINT IS NOT FILED ON TIME, IT CANNOT BE HEARD BY THE B.A.R.

Grievance forms are requested to be filed in the Assessor’s office 4-business days prior to Grievance Day.  IF YOU FILE YOUR COMPLAINT LESS THAN FOUR DAYS BEFORE THE B.A.R. MEETS, THE BOARD IS REQUIRED TO GRANT THE ASSESSOR’S REQUEST FOR AN ADJOURNMENT TO ALLOW THE ASSESSOR TO PREPARE A RESPONSE TO THE COMPLAINT.
